Saturday - Tournament at Walton High School. Sign up early to make sure you get into the tournament.
Sunday - Paulding Co. Beginners Tournament
***Upcoming tournaments and Important Change In Schedule***
Register early as the tournaments, especially beginners, fill up quickly.
Feb.5 and Feb 6- The High School Regional tournament will be held at Kell. Because of the need for volunteers, the Jr. program will not be going as a school to Hillgrove on Feb.6. Parents and the middle schoolers of the Jr. program will be asked to help with the tournament. This will include working concessions and the floor similar to what we did for the Longhorn/Greenhorn tournaments. As many of you may remember, the high school wrestlers helped with our tournaments.
Feb 7- Hillgrove Beginners
Wrestling FYIs:
The birthday cut off for wrestling is January 1. Whatever age your child is on Jan. 1st, is the age group he will wrestle in all year. For example, if your child turns 11 on Jan 2nd, he will still wrestle in the 10u age group.
If you need to email Coach Dubsky at jallendubsky@comcast.net , he does not have access to his email during the day. He will have to get back to you in the evenings. Because of his busy schedule, if I or any of the other coaches can help answer your questions, please feel free to ask us too.
At the beginners tournaments, there may or may not be coaches. Being on Sunday, several coaches take the day off to spend with family. Coach Russell, Coach Ron or Coach PJ will probably be the ones you will see. Check with them during the week to find out their schedules.
Thank you,
Phyllis Darling
